Simona J. Miller recently received their doctorate in physics at the Caltech and is starting as a NASA Einstein fellow at the City University of New York. As a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, they study how, when, and why the properties of black holes and neutron stars can be measured using gravitational-wave data, from both astrophysical and statistical standpoints.
